So long, and thanks for all the kicks...
Kicks Bellevue is Closing
(Yes, the arcade too)
So what happened?
Well, as you may already know Lanwerx is closing, and we have a joint rental space with them. So that means when they go, we would have to pay for their share of the rent as well as ours, which is way too expensive. Nuts.
We have tried to find alternative locations, but finding a good spot with affordable rent on such a short notice is kind of hard. The last thing we want to do is be hasty and move into a spot that is either way too expensive, has not enough business, or both. We like to make money and stay in business, thank you very much. As much as we like having a great arcade, if it runs us into the ground then there’s not very much point of having one.
So what is our bottom line then? Well, it’s at the end of this very paragraph, nicely bolded and everything. It is kind of long so do be careful not to strain yourself:
Kicks Hobby Japan, despite current setbacks, is still going strong with our Seattle Northgate store and our online store. We appreciate your continued patronage at these locations. As for the arcade, we have every intention of creating and maintaining an active and up-to-date arcade, and once we are given the opportunity to do so, we hope that the Kicks Arcade reputation proceeds us and everyone comes and gives us their support.
After the month of February, Kicks Bellevue will be gone. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
